Wells Fargo is committed to hiring and retaining military veterans, active military personnel, veterans with disabilities. Our goal is to attract, hire, and support veteran team members and to employ 20,000 veterans. Wells Fargo - Military Initiatives

Wells Fargo received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award in 2011. In 2018, Wells Fargo signed the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support (SoS).

Over the past four years. Wells Fargo has donated more than $130 million in support of military servicemembers, veterans and their families through housing initiatives, career transition  programs, financial education, foundation donations, and event sponsorships. Wells Fargo also provides grants to improve homeless veteran housing, strategic support for veteran-founded startup companies, hiring veterans for internships within Wells Fargo Securities, and supports nonprofit programs that improve the lives of veterans with disabilities.

Hiring events

Wells Fargo routinely participates in virtual and in-person military career fairs. Since 2012, we have hired more than 10,800 veterans and attended more than 1,300 military hiring events across the country. More than 200 of our team members are on
military leave at any given time.

In 2018, Wells Fargo hired over 1,500 veteran team members. We currently employ more than 8,400 team members who have  selfidentified as veterans, including over 200 active military service members on leave. Here are top trends of the company’s veteran team member population.

Support for veteran team members

Education
Wells Fargo is committed to providing recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. As a result, the company offers many online and virtual training courses. In 2017, the company successfully launched the Military Talent Education Center.

Reemployment and
job search assistance
When team members take extended leave to fulfill militaryrelated service, Wells Fargo offers reemployment to team members following their return from military service consistent with USERRA. Also, if team members need to relocate due to their spouses’ military duties, the company will provide dedicated resources to help them find a comparable position in the company.

Veterans’ Team Member Network
The Veterans’ Team Member Network’s mission is to support and educate members of our Wells Fargo community who share an interest in veteran matters. The group networks with team members and the community through outreach efforts to promote greater veteran awareness and share opportunities that enhance the professional growth and development of its membership.

Career planning
Each year, the company contacts all self-identified veteran team members. The purpose of this program is to share information about Wells Fargo’s career
development process, tools, and resources.  The company is dedicated to helping veteran team members grow and advance their careers based on their individual goals and aspirations.

Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service men and women.
