About the VOWS Symposium

Our Symposiums convene leading thinkers and stakeholders to discuss veteran and military spouse support and retention in civilian careers.

Registrants will hear from top officials and industry leaders who will discuss the importance of military cultural competency and retention of veterans in the workforce. The event will feature a discussion on supporting those who continue to serve as Reservists and military spouses, and workshops to help veterans and hiring managers translate military skills to civilian workplace demands.

Our Symposiums encourage organizations to collaborate, and to develop and share recruiting and retention best practices.

About the Bob Woodruff Foundation

The Bob Woodruff Foundation was founded in 2006 after reporter Bob Woodruff was wounded by a roadside bomb while covering the war in Iraq. Since then, the Bob Woodruff Foundation has raised awareness about the tough challenges veterans and military families are facing, and invested in solutions to help support them in the next chapter of their lives. To date, the Bob Woodruff Foundation has invested over $146 million to ensure that our nation’s veterans, service members and their families — those who stood for us — have stable and successful futures.
