This Privacy Policy explains how Veterans on Wall Street (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit veteransonwallstreet.com (the “Site”).

We wrote this in plain English for a USA-focused affiliate website that publishes guides and comparisons about real-money online casinos and iGaming (and may occasionally cover related affiliate topics). We do not run an online casino, take deposits, or process withdrawals. We publish informational content and may earn money if you click our links and sign up or make a purchase on third-party sites.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

1) Who we are & what this policy covers

Veterans on Wall Street is an editorial and affiliate website focused on topics like “online casinos real money USA,” how online casinos work (RNGs, licensing, responsible gambling), game types (slots, table games, live dealer), payment methods (cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, crypto), and safer play resources.

This policy covers information collected on veteransonwallstreet.com. It does not cover third-party websites you may visit via links on our Site (including casinos, payment providers, or advertisers). Those sites have their own privacy policies.

2) What we collect

We collect limited information needed to operate the Site, understand how content performs, support advertising, and measure affiliate referrals.

A) Contact details

By default, we do not collect contact details because these features are set to No:

  • Newsletter

  • Contact form

  • Comments / user-generated content

If we add a contact method or newsletter in the future, this policy will be updated.

B) Browsing and device data (automatic)

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect:

  • IP address

  • Pages viewed, time spent on pages, and clicks

  • Referrer (the page/site you came from)

  • Approximate location (generally city/state level inferred from IP, not precise GPS)

  • Device, browser, and OS information (type, version, language)

  • Identifiers such as cookie IDs or similar online identifiers

  • Log data (timestamps, error logs, performance and security signals)

C) Cookies and tracking for analytics, ads, and affiliate attribution

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, scripts, local storage) for:

  • Analytics (measuring traffic and improving content)

  • Advertising (showing ads, measuring performance, preventing fraud, frequency capping)

  • Affiliate link tracking (crediting referrals when you click a link and take an action on a partner site)

Affiliate links may include tracking parameters such as:

  • UTM parameters

  • Click IDs

  • Link-out events (recording that you clicked from our Site to a partner)

D) Sensitive personal information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories like Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health data. We also do not ask for your casino password or payment account credentials.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Run and maintain the Site (deliver pages, remember basic preferences)

  • Prevent abuse and fraud (bot detection, spam prevention, security monitoring)

  • Measure traffic and performance (what pages help users most)

  • Improve content (for example, updating guides about payments, withdrawals, and responsible gambling tools)

  • Serve and measure advertising (where enabled)

  • Track affiliate performance and attribute commissions when you click and convert on partner sites

We do not use your information to make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, or medical care.

4) Cookies & tracking

What these technologies do

Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies help us:

  • understand which pages are popular,

  • measure whether ads and links are effective,

  • limit repeat ads (“frequency capping”), and

  • detect suspicious activity.

How to control cookies

You can manage cookies through:

  • your browser settings (block/delete cookies),

  • private browsing/incognito mode,

  • device-level ad settings (where available).

If you block cookies, some features (like preference remembering and certain measurement) may not work as intended.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Some browsers let you send a Global Privacy Control signal. Where feasible, we treat GPC as an opt-out of certain tracking that may be considered “sale” or “sharing” under some US state laws (especially cross-context behavioral advertising).

5) Advertising, analytics & affiliates

Analytics

We use analytics tools (for example, tools similar to GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools typically collect device and usage data and may use cookies or similar identifiers.

Advertising

We use display and/or programmatic advertising. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • show ads,

  • measure ad performance,

  • limit repeated ads, and

  • help detect fraud.

Affiliate relationships

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click and later sign up, deposit, or otherwise complete an action on a third-party site, we may receive compensation. This supports our work. We don’t control the privacy practices of third-party operators.

6) Sharing of information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, security, performance monitoring)

  • Advertising partners (ad delivery and measurement)

  • Affiliate/marketing partners (referral tracking, reporting, fraud prevention)

  • Legal and compliance recipients if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, users, and Site integrity

We do not sell personal information for money. However, some US privacy laws treat certain ad-tech disclosures as “sharing” (or a “sale”) when used for cross-context behavioral advertising or measurement. We support opt-out choices described below.

7) Your privacy rights (US states)

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under state laws such as California (CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah. These laws vary, but generally provide rights like access and deletion, plus opt-outs for targeted advertising.

California (CPRA)

California residents may have the right to:

  • Know/access the personal information we collect, use, or disclose

  • Delete personal information (with certain exceptions)

  • Correct inaccurate personal information

  • Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (as those terms are defined under CPRA)

  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

Sensitive personal information: We do not intentionally collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah

Residents of these states may have rights to:

  • Access and delete personal information

  • Correct information (in some states)

  • Opt out of targeted advertising, certain profiling, and (in some cases) certain data sales

  • Appeal a denied request (VA/CO/CT)

How to exercise your rights

The Site inputs provided do not include a dedicated privacy email or a “Do Not Sell or Share” URL. To submit a request, use the contact method available on veteransonwallstreet.com.

What to include:

  • Your state of residence (or country), and

  • The specific request (Access / Delete / Correct / Opt-out)

Verification: To protect you, we may ask for reasonable information to verify your request (for example, confirming details about your browser/session). We will not ask for highly sensitive information like full government ID numbers to process standard requests.

Appeals (VA/CO/CT)

If we deny a request, you can appeal by contacting us via the Site and using the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”

8) Data retention & security

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it where practical. Typical ranges:

  • Analytics data: up to 24 months

  • Server/security logs: up to 12 months

We may retain data longer if needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as HTTPS, access controls, and regular updates. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to individuals under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided information through the Site, contact us via the site contact method and we will take appropriate steps.

10) Third-party links & disclaimers

Our Site contains links to third-party sites (including iGaming operators and responsible gambling resources). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read the privacy policies of any site you visit.

Also, online gambling legality varies by US state. Our content is informational and not a guarantee that any operator is legal in your location.
