The Deutsche Bank Veterans Employee Network Group was created to raise awareness of the unique and complex issues facing veterans transitioning from the service, enable veterans and other employees at the bank to provide support and mentoring for veterans in transition both in the realm of recruiting and community service/action and to reach out to our colleagues and fellow veterans and other banks and clients to further raise awareness of veteran issues.

Focus on Veterans and Families

The network is committed to raising awareness of veterans issues, provide outreach to the veteran community and their families and encourage a vibrant veteran support network within the bank and across Wall Street by working with employment and transition focused veterans support organizations, local military bases, undergraduate and graduate schools, alumni groups and recruiting firms and conferences.

Goals: The Veteran Employee Network actively supports:

 

  • Veterans and their families seeking employment, whether in the financial industry or otherwise through mentorship, transition assistance and sharing experiences
  • DB on campus recruiting and lateral hiring of veterans
  • Veteran focused community events and fund-raisers
  • External veteran employment and transition initiatives

  • September 1, 2010 - Veterans on Wall Street Initiative Launch
    Simultaneously with the Veterans on Wall Street Initiative, Deutsche Bank launched its internal Veterans Employee Network Group

  • November 10, 2010 - Veterans Day Observation
    At DB locations throughout the United States, employees came together to honor and celebrate veterans service

  • April 12, 2011 - Don't Ask Don't Tell Repeal Discussion

  • May 24, 2011 - Be a Hero Hire a Hero Global Veterans Career Expo - NYC

  • May 27, 2011 - SACC Recruiting Conference – Washington DC

  • June 23, 2011 - ESGR signings at DB sites throughout America

  • August 09, 2011 - Seth Waugh joins Obama in announcement of new employment initiatives for veterans.

VOWS Conference

  • 2011 Veterans on Wall Street Conference
    The capstone of the VOWS inaugural year will be the VOWS Conference and Dinner on June 23, 2011.
  • 2012 Veterans on Wall Street Conference
    The second annual VOWS Conference and Dinner will be at the 60 Wall Street Atrium and Cipriani’s on June 21st, 2012.
